Hailey Tasker
Registered Psychotherapist (Q)
I spent a lot of time in unfamiliar places before I learned how to guide people through them.
I'm not a blank-slate therapist who just nods along. I bring my full attention, ask the questions that actually get somewhere (not just “how does that make you feel”), and tell you the truth even when it might not be the easiest thing to hear.
I don’t believe in pretending to have all the answers, because quite frankly nobody does. What I will do is help you see the patterns you’re too close to notice on your own, and give you the space to figure out what’s actually true for you instead of what you think you’re supposed to say.
Some sessions will feel like progress, while others will feel messy. Both are part of the process, and neither means you're doing it wrong.
What makes me different?
I’m young enough to get it. Trained enough to help.
I’m a therapist who will tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. I’ll understand your references, and always say “absolutely” when you ask if you can show me the receipts.
I work remotely across Ontario, which means you can do this from wherever you feel comfortable showing up as yourself.
Frequently Asked Questions

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and I'm currently exploring what additional training and modalities I want to deepen. I believe the best therapists never stop learning, and I'm committed to growing alongside the people I work with.

I primarily work with people in their twenties and early thirties, mostly because that's when transitions, relationships, and career confusion tend to hit the hardest. With that being said, I don't have a hard age cutoff. If you're outside that range and feel like we'd be a good fit, reach out anyway. The right connection matters more than the right demographic.

I work with clients remotely across Ontario through a secure video platform called Jane. All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection. Your couch, your bedroom, your closet if that's where you feel most comfortable. As long as you're in Ontario, we can make it work.

That’s okay, I'll help you find someone who is. The right therapist is worth looking for.
